MAss Disconnect of users

Currently , I am able to use Architect --> Server Manager --> Disconnect users and select the users or select ALL Users I wish to disconnect from my service. I am unable to find this same functionality in PAW.

I am only able to disconnect individual users using the Administration page in PAW , select each thread and DISCONNECT user. This is very inefficient if I have tens of users to disconnect.

There are times that I need to urgently run some process which I know will hang all users connected or I simply need to restart the service; and before I do so I will usually ensure that all users are disconnected.

In Architect, I am able to broadcast a message but I also do not see that functionality in PAW. So at the moment, I do an email blast to give peope 5 to 10 mins to log off. However if after that time frame, there are still users logged on, I will disconnect them via Architect.

Can IBM have the same functionality that we have in Architect

  • Disconnecting users ( with the option of NOW or in xxx min)

  • Broadcasting of messages to users logged be it via Planning Analytics Excel or even in PAW
