Time Dimension Options

Performance Modeler has a wizard for generating a time dimension. It allows you to select period levels (i.e. Year, Quarter, Month, Week and Day). When generating a days dimension, it automatically knows how many days each month should have.



Creating a time dimension via Planning Analytics Workspace, only has the option for Yearly, Quarterly, and Monthly. With the example of days, this creates a lot of extra work in needing to create code to tell the system how many days each month should have when trying to generate a dimension of all the days within a year.
