We are facing a similar limitation when troubleshooting Planning Analytics Server logs.
The 2,000-line limit makes it difficult to investigate issues in environments with a high volume of log entries. In addition, the current Server Logs interface does not allow filtering by Logger Name (e.g.
TM1.Process,TM1.Cube,TM1.API).We have therefore submitted a separate enhancement request:
PAOC-I-2074 – Add Logger Name Filter to Planning Analytics Server Logs
This is also related to PAOC-I-1539 – Thread filter in the server log, which is already marked as Planned for future release. IBM previously mentioned that enhancements to the TM1 Server Log Viewer would include improved filtering and searching for threads, processes, startup/shutdown details, and more.
We would appreciate if Logger Name filtering could also be considered as part of these planned Log Viewer enhancements.
Together, these improvements would significantly improve the usability of the Server Logs for troubleshooting: increasing the number of available log entries would provide access to the complete relevant log data, while additional filters such as Thread and Logger Name would allow administrators to quickly isolate the relevant information.
Hello,
what is the update?
We would also need the filtering for the Logger Name itself like, TM1.API, TM1.Audit, TM1.Client etc, maybe especially for v12.
Is it also already at the roadmap?
Thanks in advance!
With best regards,
Vitalij
I've updated this request to 'Planned for future release'. The IBM Planning Analytics tam will make enhancements to the tm1server log viewer that allows for filtering and searching threads, processes, startup\shutdown details, and more.
