Windows authentication for our TM1 applications at IMF

Hi Team,

We are currently working on implementing Windows authentication for our TM1 applications at IMF. As per the IBM guide, we are required to create a service account (AD) and enable the "Trust this user for delegation to any services (Kerberos only)" option. However, the IMF security team has flagged enabling this option as a high-risk security concern.

In light of this, IMF has requested that we explore the possibility of enabling the "Trust this user for delegation to specified services only" with the "Use Kerberos only" setting, instead of the default "Trust this user for delegation to any services (Kerberos only)." We have reached out to IBM Support to confirm if this alternative configuration is permissible. According to the IBM guide, Windows authentication may not function correctly unless the IBM-recommended option is used.

IBM Support has advised us to submit a request to their Development team for further clarification. Could you kindly assist in reviewing this request at your earliest convenience? Your prompt attention would be greatly appreciated.

Regards,

Kishore S
