In Cognos Analytics you can install separate gateways pointing to separate namespaces (CAM instances) - but still the same Cognos installation/environment.
This option is not available with Planning Analytics Workspace - PAW can connect to only one CAM instance.
That means that you can't share a single PAW installation/environment between users from different organizations/CAM - the only option is to install and configure a PAW environment for each customer.
Note! This is NOT the same as multi tenancy :)

I did see the note about this not being specific to PAW multi-tenancy. We have no intent to support multiple instances of Cognos Analytics for authentication in the same PAW environment either.
This idea is not under consideration. Tenancy support in Planning Analytics Workspace was designed with a single authentication source for all environments. The Planning Analytics team is working to reduce the over dependency on Cognos Analytics for authentication in Planning Analytics environments. This may include adding OIDC and LDAP support directly to PAW.
