PAFE Converts Uploaded CSV File Formats

Hi,

When we upload/publish a CSV file to server using PAFE, and then we checked the file on tm1 server using notepad, we see that formatting of the CSV file is changed.

We upload a file with semi-colon separated values and using comma as decimal separator. But the uploaded file on server is comma separated with period as decimal separator. We think this means PAFE/PAW changes/alters the file formatting when publishing a csv file.

However, when we use Architect or Perspectives to upload a CSV file to tm1 server, it does not change file formatting.

So far our users have been using Architect or Perspectives to upload a CSV file to tm1 server, but due to the performance issues with these tools on VPN/WAN connections, they need to switch to using PAFE. To enable them switching to use PAFE, we need to resolve this issue.

As per case TS017805491, we are told that this is a product limitation, and hence we are requested to raise an enhancement request.

We need PAFE not to alter CSV file formatting when publishing a CSV file to TM1 server.

Regards,

Needed By Yesterday (Let's go already!)
