Cube Rule to get currently selected member/s from a selector and pass to a cell

See this idea on ideas.ibm.com

It would be great from a UI perspective to be able to use a cube rule to get the value from a PAW selector + selector group to pass the selected element back to a string cell.
Essentially this would enable the use of selectors to drive the model logic (ie. dynamic subsets based on a selected element)

Currently we use a client variables / system info cube or similar with a picklist in a cell to achieve this.

With the current approach, selector lists and advanced formatting is not currently possible and the UX experience is not as good as using PAW selectors.

See screenshot (with data blurred) for example.
