Request for TurboIntegrator (TI) Editor with Log Access in PAfE

Dear Product Management Team,

I would like to propose adding a TurboIntegrator (TI) Editor to IBM Planning Analytics for Excel (PAfE), including the ability to access relevant logs, as this would greatly improve the user experience and efficiency for many of our team members.

Many users who have worked extensively with Perspectives rely on its ability to create and edit TI processes directly within the application. The absence of this functionality in PAfE requires users to switch to Planning Analytics Workspace (PAW), which disrupts workflows. By integrating a TI Editor into PAfE, users could manage TI processes seamlessly within the same interface, for example, when updating data integration processes in a report. Additionally, providing access to transaction logs, message logs, and server logs directly within PAfE would enable users to monitor and troubleshoot TI processes efficiently without needing separate tools.

To accommodate diverse user needs, I suggest making this feature optional, with the ability to enable or disable it via a parameter in the tm1s.cfg configuration file. This would provide flexibility, for instance, by enabling the TI Editor and log access for backend administrators while restricting access for other user groups if needed.

    Hello,

    I would like to follow up on this idea, as there has been no further update since the original request.

    Is there any update regarding the possibility of providing a TurboIntegrator (TI) Editor with log access in PAfE?

    In particular, it would be helpful to know whether this functionality is being considered for a future release or is currently on the roadmap.

    As mentioned previously, a possible configuration parameter could be something like EnableTIEditorWithLogsInPAfE to allow administrators to enable or disable the functionality depending on their requirements.

    Could you please provide an update on the current status of this request?
