PAW Action Button Prompt and Response Parameters

The recent enhancements have made action buttons in PAW powerful, but they still lack 2 key pieces of functionality that are available in PAfE and Websheets.

  • The ability to prompt a user if they are sure they want to run a process (Confirmation)

    • It would be great to be able to ask a user to confirm they want to run a process as an optional prompt

    • To get around this today you have to create an additional parameter in the TI process which basically replicates the functionality that should be available

  • Notification messages can be sourced from an Excel cell which can in turn be sourced from a cube cell

    • It would be great to have the option for a process response (either success or failure) to be either text entry or derived from a cube cell

    • This would enable customised responses that provided more informed responses to users on process outcomes (such as handled exceptions that require user action)

Attached image shows the options that are available in PAfE that should also be available within PAW
