Export PAW Book to Excel

This feature would allow users to export an entire Planning Analytics Workspace (PAW) book directly into Excel. Each tab of the book would be exported as a separate worksheet within a single Excel file.

Why is it useful?
It simplifies the sharing and offline analysis of PAW books, especially for users who prefer working in Excel or need to distribute reports outside of PAW.

Who would benefit from it?

  • Business users who need to analyze or present data offline.
  • Controllers and analysts who frequently use Excel for further calculations and reporting.
  • Teams that need to distribute book content to stakeholders without PAW access.

How should it work?
From within PAW, users should be able to select “Export to Excel” at the book level. The system would then generate a single Excel file where:

  • Each PAW tab is exported as a corresponding Excel worksheet.
  • The formatting and layout from PAW are preserved as much as possible.
  • Links, calculations, and filters are reflected consistently in the exported version.
