PAW folder permission recursive setting

Currently: In Planning Analytics Workspace folder permissions setting, the "Apply permission changes recursively" is enabled by default. This useful functionality will update the permission of all content (subfolders and books) to match the permissions applied to the folder being configured. However, this feature can be very inconvenient if that is not the intended objective, and certain content require different permissions. While unchecking the box would resolve this issue by applying the permission changes only to the selected folder, the error/mistake of applying the updated permissions recursively is more an issue/problem than having the changes not applied to all subfolders and books. Further, there is no option to save the setting unchecked, in other words, default the "Apply permission changes recursively" to disabled. Alternately, an undo option would also greatly improve correcting mistakes.

    Hi!
We have had few accidents on the folder permissions changing recursively, because this "Apply permission changes recursively" selection is enabled by default, and accidents happens when the main user does not remember to unselect it.

There is a easy solution and fix:

    • IBM can change "Apply permission changes recursively" selection that it would be disabled by default.

    • Then if the user wants to chance permissions recursively, then th person can enable "Apply permission changes recursively"selection.

I hope this will be changed in future PAW updates.
