I strongly support this idea.
As mentioned by IBM in a previous AMA, User Data Reservation is on the roadmap for Planning Analytics / TM1 Database 12.
This is particularly important for customers migrating existing TM1 v11 planning applications to v12, where Data Reservation was used to provide temporary, user-specific exclusive write access to defined cube regions.
It would be great to see this capability brought back as part of the v12 roadmap, including the corresponding programmatic capabilities, so that existing use cases can be migrated without having to redesign the underlying planning logic.
Looking forward to seeing this on the roadmap.
