Add "Send Test Email" button in Plan Workflow – Email Notification Step

Dear team,

Description: Please add a "Send Test Email" button directly inside the Email Notification configuration of a Plan Workflow.

Current limitation (PAW 3.1.6): When configuring the email notification step in a Plan, there is no way to quickly test how the email will look. You have to run the whole workflow (or the step) to see the result. This makes testing layout, attached reports, chart quality, parameter context, etc. very time-consuming and risky.

Requested feature:

  • A prominent "Send Test Email" button in the Email Notification step editor.

  • It should send one test email to the logged-in user and/or defined test recipients.

  • The test mail should be identical to the real one (same subject, body, attachments, report output with current plan context).

  • Optional: Checkbox “Use current plan selections / context”.

Business benefit:

  • Faster and safer workflow configuration

  • Easier validation of report quality in the final email (especially important with the current blurry chart issue)

  • Less risk of sending poor-looking emails to planners or management

This would be a very useful productivity enhancement for everyone working with Plans.

    Please consider implementing this enhancement for both v12 (PAW 3.1.6) and v11 (PAW 2.x), since a large number of customers continue to use v11 in their production systems.
