parent folder has Full Control access, but one of its subfolders has restricted inherited permissions or limited View/Edit access

Within the "Shared/ABC" location, the user has "Full Control" access at the parent folder level. However, one of the subfolders inherits permissions but shows “View & Edit” access only. When the user attempts to grant Full Control access to another user at the "Shared/ABC" folder level, an error occurs:

“Failed to update permission”

“You do not have access to set permission on the following 20 assets.”

I have rejected thus enhancement request. The scenario being described is the correct security behavior. You cannot change permissions on assets that you don't have 'full control' permissions on. This includes changes in permissions by applying the inherit option. Note that the Admin role user can always change permissions of content. If you are receiving the “You do not have access to set permission on the following 20 assets.” while using the admin role then I would suggest opening a support case to investigate.
