Improved navigation for open books

The current mechanism for navigating between open books, workbenches, etc. in PAW is a bit clunky. When several books are open, the only way to get to another book is to click the dropdown switcher and select the target book. Would seem to be much easier if the open books were represented as tabs at the top like a browser. Think of having multiple browser tabs open and only being able to switch between them is by pulling down a dropdown.

    I would also support this enhancement. The existing switcher is useful, especially when many books are open, but having frequently used open books directly accessible as tabs would make switching much faster.

    Keeping the existing switcher for additional books while adding a few visible tabs seems like a practical approach.

    I support this idea. When working with several books and workbenches at the same time, having to open the switcher each time to move between them adds unnecessary steps.

    Having the currently open books available as tabs would make navigation much more direct and intuitive, similar to how we already work with browser tabs.
