PAX - Ability to edit TI, Rules, Dimensions, Chores etc...

Prior Planning Analytics, we did use perspectives/architect as both a development and administration tool (for the end-user support team). It’s a formidable tool for us because this is the one place where we can edit and consult every possible TM1 objects (Websheet, TI, Rules, cubes etc…) in a multi-windowed mode.

PAX seems to have lost its modeling capabilities as opposed to perspectives. We would like PAX to be able to open PAW TI, Rules, Dimensions & Chores editors through a url api pop-up window in the same way the PAW cubeviewer is called through PAX.

Perspectives/Architect was a complete modeling tool in the sense that all TM1 objects could be edited through it. PAW cannot be a complete modeling tool since there is no way to edit a websheet. Since there’s an URL API available to call individual PAW components, it should be easy to call these components from PAX (it’s already the case with PAW cubeviewer).

Declined. Our strategic direction for modeling in Planning Analytics is with Workspace only.
