agree that the current spreading behaviour in PA workspace is very dangerous; I see it frequently in projects that clients spread data from summary level into details without being aware of it. Once they look at their data on detail level there is then a lot of confusion how that data has been generated. I really recommend to make it more obvious to users when they are utilising proportional spreads via c-level input, eg. by forcing the user to prefix the number with a key or by providing a visual cue that the data was spread from consolidated level into base level.
Would should suggest the option to have the warning functionality active is set at the server level somewhere. There are plenty of users who will find even having to check the box once everytime they log-in annoying
Other than shortcuts the standard Data Spread UI can be used, but confirmation warning message still is needed!
