I made the propsal in German:
Bei gleichlautenden Fehlermeldungen sollte TM1 statt Millionen Zeilen zu loggen, nur 1 oder 2 Zeilen loggen, in denen sinngemäß steht "logged 2.258.291 times the following".
Das würde verhindern, daß die Logs vollgeschrieben und alte Logeinträge (Begrenzung der Zahl der der Logs) überschrieben werden.
TM1 logs sometimes - for good reason or for bad reason does not matter - lines with identical content millions of times. The tm1server.log files are limited to a certain number and size. This means that on a rolling basis older log entries are deleted. This can happen within minutes. I experienced some years ago the situation that all 20 log files were filled up with the identical message within a short time and we had to go back to the state of the day before and lost all logging entries of the current day.

I forgot to thank for the reply. :-)
I better should not have mentioned the support ticket... My proposal is a general proposal and not explicitely for this ticket. I am working with TM1 for 11 years and the situation that thousands or even millions of lines are logged is happening through the years in different situations and with different messages time and time again. Probably there will be a new situation happening again and the proposal will prevent deleting all old log lines.
I've marked this as will not implement. Looking at the support ticket it appears this is a defect that we have already agreed to correct. We are not looking to change the log behaviour at this point. We are evaluating how to modernize logging in TM1 Server in future versions.
