There is a problem with the TM1 Web session management
resulting from use of TM1Web content in Planning Analytics Workspace
(PAW). Each time PAW content containing TM1 Websheets is opened, new TM1
Web sessions with the TM1 Server are opened (as observed in TM1TOP/Ops
Console).
New TM1 Web sessions continue to grow as additional PA Workspace content
containing TM1 Web components are closed/reopened. Seems to add a new
session for every tm1web component in the workbook. The sessions also do
not get closed when a user logs out of PAW, which are causing excessive
RAM/resource utilization in both TM1 Web and TM1 Server (especially when
scaling PAW to many users).
This has been reproduced in PA 209 and PAWorkspace 49. Can be reproduced with the 24Retail model.
Steps to reproduce:
1. Create (or use existing) a tm1websheet
2. Create a new workbook in PAW with the tm1websheet(s)
3. Open the paw workbook, multiple tm1web sessions will be created for all the tm1web objects
4. Close and reopen the workbook, multiple more tm1web sessions will be created
5. Over the period of time Tm1Web threads are accumulated in the Tm1. Can be seen using tm1top and PA Administration.
Ideally, the sessions should be closed once websheet is executed in PA Workspace.

Agreed that this should be opened as a defect with IBM Support. Setting enhancement request status to Is a defect.
this should be treated as a defect IBM, not as a product enhancement!
