This portal is to open public enhancement requests against products and services offered by the IBM Data & AI organization. To view all of your ideas submitted to IBM, create and manage groups of Ideas, or create an idea explicitly set to be either visible by all (public) or visible only to you and IBM (private), use the IBM Unified Ideas Portal (https://ideas.ibm.com).

Updates status of Idea to 'Not Under Consideration'. We do agree that users would benefit from feedback regarding the status of TI processes run by the user. One potential solution might be providing a thread viewer widgets for use on Workspace books. While this is a good idea for an enhancement, we are not planning to implement this request within the next 18 months (2021 timeframe). We may revisit this request at a later date.
Since TM1 Operations console is depreciated, this is the only place for monitoring threads. Previously it was possible to monitor threads without being admin user, but now in PAW Admin tool, the user has to be admin to be able to monitor threads. This is one of the reasons why we do not want to upgrade to 2.0.9. Regular users who are able to run processes should also be able to monitor threads in read only mode, as in TM1Top, so that they can see if their own processes are being blocked by another thread or not and to decide if the server is free for triggering new processes.
In summary, regular users should be able to use PAW admin tool for monitoring tm1 threads. Moreover this should not require installing and using Docker and PAW. This is a basic TM1 user requirement which should not require installing the Docker and PAW. It should be a core TM1 data server component.
Docker & PAW development team should not lead TM1 product development. TM1Top and TM1 Ops Console should not have been replaced by something through Docker and PAW. I think this was a wrong direction.
