HSTS implementation for TM1Web and Planning Analytics Server

Currently Planning Analytics Server and Tm1Web do not support HSTS. This is a security requirement for multiple customers. Mainly HSTS is required at Banks and government customers.

We need to have a facility to implement HSTS for Tm1Web.

As of now, Planning Analytics components have not been directly tested with HSTS and is not officially supported.

The steps here does not work:

So we need an official product team to implement this and provide guidelines to customers.

Please check this item which has affected a large number of people due to Security vulnerability code changes.

    This idea is not under consideration. Enhanced security mechanisms such as HSTS could be implemented with a gateway in front of the Planning Analytics web applications.

    HSTS is a feature of WebSphere, not TM1Web. If HSTS is not working with the provided WLP version then a support ticket should be opened. The Planning Analytics team can escalate to the WLP team if they can reproduce the problem.

    HSTS could be considered for Workspace and TM1 Server in the future. Setting this enhancement to future consideration.
