Add the functionality “Copy and Paste to the clipboard and vice versa” in google Chrome, Firefox and Edge browsers for TM1 Web Applications

Why it is Needed: As we saw in some blog that Internet explorer is going to be decommissioned by next year, all the users will use google chrome as alternative for TM1 Web. Please see blog link below.

Enhancement Description: As copy and paste functionality to the clipboard and vice versa is not working in google chrome, Edge and Firefox browsers, users are facing issue while entering data into the TM1 web sheets. To mitigate this, instead of adding extension links to the browser, please add this functionality into the TM1 Web application in the upcoming version/release.

Issue Description: In IBM Support link and EVA page which is opened in the Google chrome browser enables the copy and paste functionality to the clipboard and vice versa. Then why this functionality is not working for TM1 web link while using in google chrome browser. Please let us know if any parameter or settings in the product itself restricts the functionality. We have raised a PMR TS004236370 already with IBM and they suggested to raise an Enhancement request.

    This enhancement request is not under consideration. There is no functionality that would allow the browser add-in to be loaded silently. At this point we are not planning on removing the plug-in requirement.
