Thank you for providing additional clarification about this request. Unfortunately we are not considering enhancement requests specific to Cognos Analytics packages as a data source. Changing status to Not under consideration.

Can you please provide more detail about this idea. We are not clear what you mean by a total column in the exploration. It's possible to add calculations for both rows and columns in the exploration. It is possible this is a limitation of using Cognos Analytics packages as the data source in Planning Analytics for Excel?
