Planning Analytics For Excel - Self Updateable

The pace at which PAX is updated (roughly once a month) makes it really hard for any large organization to keep it updated. Big organization do not grant users the ability to install software directly and we can't be constantly building scripts for new PAX versions. I think the best approach, if the updates will keep at this pace, is to have PAX become self updatable.

I agree with this need and if possible Im all for it. As a half step forward, our organization is capable of allowing end users to self install the updates, however each version gets picked up by our virus scanning software. They asked that IBM sign their applications so that they could whitelist the cert which would allow us to eliminate manually whitelisting the hash for each new version of the PAX executable.

Set to future consideration. This requirement is not part of the Planning Analytics 2021 roadmap. The Planning Analytics team would like to leave this open for future consideration.
