Add a View Attributes button on the Dim right-click menu in PAW Object Tree

Add a "View Attributes" button on the Dim right-click menu that would open the associated control cube in the cube viewer. Makes for fewer mouse clicks and better experience.

Additionally, in some of our applications, we expose the Attribute cubes to users for editing of attribute values. I don’t believe it would be a good idea to expose the dimension editor to do the same.

Stuart, thanks for the response,. Currently, the Dimension editor is effectively unusable with any dimension larger than a few hundred elements for the following reasons.

    • There’s no Subset Editor so you can’t filter to limit the view.

    • There is no ability to sort elements by attribute.

    • Paging is particularly problematic. When you scroll down you cannot see the elements in the table when you go beyond the current page (my understanding from Charbel is that its approx. 120 rows by 30 columns) you have to guess where element/data you want to take action on. Meaning the paging causes a problem because you cannot scroll up and down in a table and see the records. We have had to revert to Excel or the Cube Viewer to do any substantial maintenance on Attribute tables.

    • I have had tremendous trouble getting copy and paste to work even on small dimensions.

That’s why we use the cube browser. Thoughts?

Updated status to 'Not under consideration'. However, I would be interested to understand why the cube viewer is being used in place of the attributes editor in the dimension editor widget? We are looking at improving performance in the dimension editor when working with attributes.
