Closing idea as delivered. Current versions of Planning Analytics Workspace (2.0.88 at the time of this comment) support creating set based consolidations on all axis of the cube viewer. Views can be sliced with these consolidations. Note that we are still planning some improvements so that the consolidations can be created with selections of members in addition to named subsets from TM1.
If I'm interpreting this requirement correctly it is for users to be able to do an adhoc summary without having to change the model. This capability is planned for a upcoming release. It will use the current calculation capability in PA Workspace. In addition to the sum and average calculations available today, Workspace will add an Aggregate capability that will summarize values for selected members using the rule logic of the cube.
