Add a parameter to disable "unpopulated cells" spreads

The spread types "Repeat leaves" and "Equal leaves" have very dangerous options to spread to all leaf cells instead of populated ones. In a large cube with many dimensions containing many elements, the number of empty cells to write on jumps very quickly as users select higher and higher consolidation.


I've attached a small business case explaining how a "gentle" spread on populated cells (11 640 cells) can quickly transform into a 2 billion cells spread by selecting "All leaf cells" option.

    This idea is currently not under consideration. The idea can continue to accumulate votes and comments. The IBM Planning Analytics tam may reconsider the status of this idea at a late date.

    I fully agree a new option/parameter/capability would be a great addition.

    Hi. I have a similar use case where users can kill a server by simply entering a number on aggregated cell that is equal to zero. I leveraged CellSecurity to check if the aggregated cell is populated. If not then it is set to READ. All leafs are set to WRITE.
