ODBC Connection for Multi TM1 Server IBM PA Cloud instance, lock a specific Database to a specific DSN

In the Cloud: IBM PA can use Json Key and Simba ODBC for connecting to the on prem data. This works ok if you do not mind the Data tier in IBM PA showing all DSN connections to all Datasets and projects in on prem data. When you have a scenario where a TM1 Server/Database needs higher level of security (eg PII data) that you do not want available for other Databases in the environment, this cannot be done. You need to revert then to another pattern of file transfers and PGP encryption.


Propose IBM look at the ODBC method and define a solution to encrypt decrypt ODBC feild level data for PII (key held by IBM Database). Or show the DSN only to a specific database (eg use a difference Tm1 server service account). Other methods may be suggested - just need a locked secure access for multi TM1 server environment

    Promoted to future consideration. We will keep this request in mind as we determine future cloud architect with support for multiple data sources for multiple TM1 models.
