IBM Data and AI Ideas Portal for Customers

This portal is to open public enhancement requests against products and services offered by the IBM Data & AI organization. To view all of your ideas submitted to IBM, create and manage groups of Ideas, or create an idea explicitly set to be either visible by all (public) or visible only to you and IBM (private), use the IBM Unified Ideas Portal (https://ideas.ibm.com).

Shape the future of IBM!

We invite you to shape the future of IBM, including product roadmaps, by submitting ideas that matter to you the most. Here's how it works:

Which Element Loads in Subset Picklist Upon Book Opening

We are controlling this picklist via a subset. Ideally, the PAW page would load with data corresponding to the first element in a subset.

The only way we are able to have the page open to the element at the top of the picklist is to:

1) Change the subset to one old time period (element) that will not be in the final picklist/subset.

2) Save the page with the page on that picklist/subset with one element.

3) Get out of edit mode on the PAW page.

4) Change the subset to contain the desired elements (ensuring the old time period is not in the subset anymore)

Set to future consideration. The IBM Planning Analytics roadmap does not include support for synchronization with a picklist cell. Note that we do have a member selector widget that can be configured to display a subset and used for synchronization.

There are significant enhancements planned to the synchronization capabilities in 2H 2022 that will may help address this use case.

We are also planning a feature that will trigger synchronization when a data exploration refresh (on data enter or picklist change) causes a change in the currently selected members in one or more hierarchies used to define the view. This change will likely also improve the ability to use picklist to drive changes in the book.
