Formats should be Saved with Views

Currently when a user saves an MDX View from the cube viewer in Pafe the format state is not saved with the view.

Formats should be saved with the view, they represent a fundamental part of the viewing experience. All users would benefit from this. This has been rejected as a defect due to

"this is not a defect. The only thing that is stored when you save a PAW view back to TM1 Server is the MDX statement that defines the view. All other details about the view such as the formatting and properties can only be stored by the view in Workspace content store. The primary reason for users to save a PAW view back to TM1 is to use that MDX view as a data source for TI processes. If the customer wants to persist the format information they must save the view to the Workspace content store, not TM1."

This statement is problematic in that it does not seem possible to save views to the PAW content store from the cube viewer, access to content store views are not integrated with the task pane and if the intent was for MDX views was to be for a TI source only, why are they available for end users?

    We have no intent to write back details specific to PAW or PAfE objects in the TM1 Server.

    I agree that we should consider how to better integrate access to the PAW content store in PAfE taskbar. This would include making it easier to save views back to the PAW content store.
