Action Buttons to access control objects

Currently Action Buttons can be configured to point to a subset within a Dimension/Hierarchy. The list however does not include any control objects and cannot be linked to }Clients, }Groups, }Dimensions etc. which may frequently be used to drive a process.

The dropdown options in the Dimension list should include control objects or there should be a switch to include or exclude these from the list. As the list may get much longer, it would also be useful to have a type-in filter similar to other selections within PAW.

Control objects cannot be synchronised either as synchronisation does not link to control objects for this purpose either.

At this stage there is no workaround other than forcing the user to type in the values required in a text field.

Closing the idea. This is partially solved in the current 2.0.88 release with the introduction of the widget synchronization groups. It's not possible to synchronize control dimensions from other widgets.

There is remaining work to allow for the use of control dimensions and even selection of control processes in later Workspace releases in 2023.

This would be a very welcome change to simplify the process for users when setting up security!

For every IBM PA implementation with Workspace, users need to be given the ability to update security assignments via action buttons. This would be needed for every single such implementation and at this point we are unable to provide users with picklists of }clients or }groups without extensive workarounds. Please expand the parameter selection for action buttons
