Updating views by TI and saved in Book

We are trying to update the view structure/properties and subset assignments to various named Views used in our PAW Reports.

For instance, we are using an existing View created in architecture, in PAW Report by just dragging and dropping into the canvas and saved as a report.

However, subsequent changes to the view are not reflected in the PAW Report.

For example: Despite a named view being updated with say, a subset change to the column dimension, it is not reflected in the PAW Report and still shows the old subset assignment.

View update by TI and saved in book are currently treated as independent objects. You have to recreate the book after the view structure has been changed by a TI.

We want to be able to sync both views so that we are in a position to update views via a TI process, or change in TM1 Architect, and it is also reflected in the PAW Reports.

Changed status to not under consideration. Views in PAW are intended to be detached from views stored in the TM1 database and are not impacted by changes to views in TM1.

Note that a PAW view may reference a named subset in the TM1 database. Changes in the subset in TM1 will impact what members the PAW view might display.

Future options for PAW APIs are being considered that might allow the MDX of a view to be updated through automation.
