Moving from Perspectives to Pafe we noticed that Cell security Rules where it is defined to set intersections to "None" does not produce a #N/A or #Value within Pafe Excel and will show a zero instead. With in the Viewer window in Pafe we still get the expected blank cell. In Perspectives we would get the blank cell in Cube viewer and a #N/A within Excel. Would lke to have it work similar to perspectives where the Excel reports, return something Similar to blank or #N/A so users know not to expect data at those certain data intersections.

Planning Analytics for Excel only pulls the unformatted value from the cube. This is done for performance reasons. Unfortunately, it's not possible to determine if the cell doesn't have READ (or higher) access without reading more infomration from TM1 than just the unformatted value. In the older API that Perspectives uses it was not possible to read only some properties of the cell.
Reading the security of the cell as the report is rendered could have a significant impact on performance for many reports.
