Cubeview Expand functionality with disabled borders on selection

Expand is a new functionality available for cube views & visualizations, but it's currently tied with new selection borders functionality, available always in Edit mode and when Show selected border in preview is enabled.

What I'm looking for is a way to have the Expand functionality in normal (non-edit) mode without enabling Show selected border in preview .
Ideally as a another button in toolbar.

In other words, I would like to give my users an option to use Expand functionality (which is a fantastic functionality), without having to go to Edit mode, and not have the borders appear when clicking on a cube view or visualization (which in some cases doesn't look good).

Needed By Not sure -- Just thought it was cool

I also agree with this idea. Having a Full Screen button available in the top toolbar for the selected widget would be better because the thick black borders sometimes are ugly, and they sometimes overlap other objects.
