Disable tm1s.cfg changes using Planning Analytics Workspace

Hello,

We have many environment Dev,QA, UAT, Prod where we need to keep all environment in Sync. The Administration page in Workspace offer much more then changing the configuration in the tm1s.cfg file. A lot of the other features that doesn't impact configuration are needed by some users, but it's very important that we prevent these users to not making changes. We cannot base the security on user education as someone could still do it causing a Production issue. All configuration changes need to go through change management.

Solution:

A setting in the PAW config file to prevent editing tm1s.cfg but still can view the configuration

DisableTM1sEdit=true

Thanks,

Alex

    This idea is currently not under consideration for the IBM Planning Analytics roadmap. The idea may continue to receive votes and the IBM Planning Analytics product team may reevaluate the idea at a later date.

    We can consider logging changes to all of the tm1s.cfg parameters.
