Idea Details: Use a real-life scenario to explain the problem statement/pain points,
End-users use private subsets all the time. For example, they track the progress of their top products by saving them into a subset and use that subset into many views. Additionally, they can aggregate that subset through ‘subset calculation’.
The issue however is that they can’t share views that use private subsets with other users (by saving the view into PAW shared folders). Indeed, since the receiving user doesn’t have the private subset, the view will appear corrupted to that user
State your current workaround
They will have to rework their view so that there’s no reference to that subset. Alternatively, they ask the receiving user to create a subset with same name and content.
Both workarounds are time consuming
State any proposed solution
Ideally the receiving user should be able to read the private subset of the source user.
Alternatively, when the source user saves the view into the shared folders, he/she could have a tickbox option that propose to save the view using static copy of subsets
State the benefits/value this idea has, state # of users impacted and how often are they impacted)
This enhancement will significantly boost the ability for users to engage in collaborative work within the software.
