Changed status of enhancement to 'Will not implement'. The PMPSVC service does support an external server name in it's configuration. This external server name can be used to abstract the hostname from the system. I'm assuming the pmpsvc service is being used behind a reverse proxy or gateway of some sort that is being used to hide the hostname of the server. IBM is not considering new enhancements to the pmpsvc service.
