We fully understand the ability to automate the distribution and install of PA for Excel updates. There is already an MSI at the core of the installer, but it does not do any prerequisite testing. Using this MSI is likely not what customers are looking for. A more comprehensive approach to installation automation is in IBM plans, but no specific roadmap commitment.
Idea Info need to be updated. Automatically updated PAX would be a great feature.

this request was made 2 years ago and still no update. MSI package would be of great help for this for automatic/remote deployment.
