Ability to disable swapping dimension swapping and ability to hide subsets in Views - creating fix View

Planning Analytics Workspace enables developers to decline user access to set editor for given view. Very often clients ask us if this feature could be extended into fixing Views in PAW even more. hence we would like the ability to:

1. prevent users from moving dimensions in Views (e.g. swapping dimensions),

2.prevent users from selecting different subsets in Views by the dimension (row and column dimension),

3. prevent users from selecting different members (context dimensions with subsets of consolidate members).

This feature would make PAW even more versatile and easier to adopt as users don't need a complex training to be able to work with books and views.

 

Scenario: Customer has hundreds of user all around the world, but developing an PAW Application (e.g. Book) means that there has to be quite complex training for the new users to adopt PAW. This appears to be an obstacle when trying to convince the customers to migrate some collateral planning excels into TM1/PAW.

Solution: Ability to lock the contents for the unqualified users to fill in the plans and consume the reports/dashboard would help the users to adopt the new solution. Without the possibility to get confused by number of public subsets and the swapping dimensions ability in particular Views users can be better driven through the Book to enter the data.
