Information on SSL certificates with Planning Analytics

Improving clarity on the rules around SSL certificates in planning analytics, particularly when clients want to use their own already signed certificates. So above all we need clarity on exactly what can and cannot be done with certificates from different sources. Having a central hub for this information would be really useful. The benefits of this would be to provide clients with timely responses to queries and make the installation process smoother for all concerned.

This idea is currently not under consideration. Generation of certificates is not specific to any of the Planning Analytics software components. The Planning Analytics documentation for each component, as well as Technotes, provides details infomration on this task.

Set to future consideration (for CP4D Planning Analytics).

Note that we do not allow customers to being their own SSL for the Planning Analytics on IBM Cloud offering. There is no intent to implement this functionality for PA on IBM Cloud. The Cloud Pak for Data offering does have a simplified SSL configuration for all components being run inside of Cloud Pak for Data.
