Planning Analytics Element Level Security

We do have security setup defined for all the dimensions in older version TM1 10.2.2 and migrated the same applications to Planning Analytics 2.0.6 Version but we had issues with user security with same security setup. We had to manually create "Month" dimension level security in the new version 2.0.6 but without this element level security all users were able to access and upload the data in older version (10.2.2).

We should not be forced to define the security on an element level when it's sufficient to secure the data on the dimensional level (as we were able to in TM1 10.2.2).

With the current security set-up, there is much more work require to create and maintain applications.

There is no clear ask on this request. Element security did not change between TM1 10.2 2 and Planning Analytics 2.0.x.

In both TM1 10.2.2 and Planning Analytics 2.0 if element security is not created for a dimension then intersection based on all elements in that dimension will have write access by default. Note that write access is still required for the cube, and cell security will overlay element security. Creating element security for a dimension is not required to explicitly provide write access to intersections in a cube.
