This is an important enhancement that IBM should prioritize and implement as soon as possible. Many customers have growing concerns about security when using SaaS solutions and expect IBM to support IP whitelisting, allowing API access only from their trusted public IP addresses.
Implementing this capability would provide an additional layer of security by reducing the risk of unauthorized access, even if API keys or access tokens are compromised. It would also help customers meet enterprise security policies, compliance requirements, and security assessment or penetration testing recommendations.
A simple and centralized UI for managing allowed public IP addresses and CIDR ranges at the account level would give customers greater control, flexibility, and visibility over API access. This would strengthen customer confidence in IBM's SaaS offerings, improve the overall security posture of Watsonx Data Intelligence, and help IBM better meet the security expectations of enterprise customers.
I strongly recommend prioritizing this feature, as it addresses a real customer security concern and is an important capability for enterprise SaaS adoption.
I've replicated this Aha idea through MCSP's enhancement request git issue. I posted the link in the slack channel. We'll need to pick it up from there.
That is a good new. Both our prospective and current clients concern about the security with SaaS solution. This will give customers more confidence in the product. I hope this feature will be released soon
Hi Nguyen, thanks for submitting. Since this is related to MCSP, I've reached out to that team to assess.
