Need an APAR to fix the version mismatch in QMF V12.2

Hello Team,


After the QMF v12.2 upgrade still the Home screen of the QMF tool shows as V12.1 only. When I checked with GSD team they said that IBM Labs had decided to keep the FMIDs of both the products same. Because of this we are not able to see the new version number in the login panel.

Is it possible for IBM Labs to release a fix for this issue to update the QMF panel datasets to reflect the upgraded version number in the QMF Home Screen after we login please?

I'm no expert in this area and just thinking if it is possible to release a hot fix to update the DSQPNLE member so that when we login to QMF v12.2, the panel also shows the same version and release number instead of QMF v12.1 please?

We are really finding it extremely difficult to explain to the concerned (non-technical) people from Business that the product is upgraded and that IBM Labs has decided to keep the FMIDs same for both the products. The SMPE process is not done by us and it is totally managed by a separate team and they wouldn't be available/able to convince the business people that we don't have to do any extra steps if we are already in v12.1 and just follow the receive process.


This simple fix would really help every IBM DB2 QMF for z/OS users globally.
