As we discussed earlier on our call, we are searching for a method to provide some automation for our Spectrum environments. Ideally, this type of action would be supported by an API level interface, but the available commands for host management (open/close hosts, for example) are not supported by the API and the only actions that are seem to allow only read access to the environment. Some method of accessing commands that can be performed using egosh, using the authentication via a generated csrftoken (similar to what can be performed using the RESTful APIs) prove very useful in our endeavors.
During the call some mention of an "egosh exec" type function that had been used in the past was brought up as a possibility. It would be greatly appreciated if you could look into what is available to assist with this type of work and let us know what our options are.
Much appreciated,

Hi, is there any ETA on this?
The use case is to enable access to existing Spectrum clusters without requiring login to the management nodes to carry out maintenance or administrative tasks. The methods that are required to access the environment through the management nodes require multiple levels of authentication that create obstacles to enabling automations to work, so any work that needs to be carried out via egosh commands require logging in manually and entering the commands via command-line. This can get time-consuming, and members off our team who may not be proficient with, or even have access to, egosh commands are excluded from being able to carry out the work required. With automation this could simply become a procedural step that is carried out through a web-based front-end.
