"Currently, LSF License Scheduler will suspend LSF jobs only if they have been suspended less that MAX_JOB_PREEMPT setting at the system, queue, or application profile level.
However, customers have cases, for instance interactive jobs, where they do not wish to suspend these jobs, but rather suspend their own projects batch jobs instead of interactive jobs. Presently, that can only be done with either a complex ProjectGroup setting in License Scheduler, or setting MAX_JOB_PREEMPT on the interactive queues to 0, which is presently not supported."

An equivalent behavior can be obtained by setting NO_PREEMPT_INTERVAL= 100000000 in interactive queues.
This parameter is used to guarantee that preemptable jobs cannot be preempted in certain period of time.
Setting it to a very large value will mean those jobs won't be preempted in that time period.
