LSF to track SSH and child processes on machines running LSF jobs

To prevent users from sshing into nodes that they do not have a running job on, to restrict the SSH session to the resources that the runing job has on the machine (e.g. cgroups ), to track the ssh connection and any other spawned processes for accounting and to ensure complete job cleanup when the job is completed. We are looking for functionality that matches the Slurm scheduler functionality ( https://slurm.schedmd.com/pam_slurm_adopt.html ).


While battach works okay for connecting to machines running batch jobs, the users have a need to run SSH sessions from within IDEs (VSCode, PyCharm ) to connect to machines in an Interactive queue where they can debug/troubleshoot interactively in real-time. battach will not work in this situation as the IDEs operate with SSH and not battach.
