If 0 is given as first parameter, the bkill command ignores other options and terminates ALL jobs of the user. advise a warning if the command "bkill 0 -q gui" is used instead of the correct command "bkill -q gui 0". If tried to run, bjobs <jobid> -u <user>. The error "-u: Illegal job ID" displays. Something of this stature could be very helpful for users who do not intend to kill all their jobs.

Would it also be possible to provide documentation on what happens if the parameters are used wrong when using using "jobid 0"? Thank you.

    While the behaviour of the command is consistent with how it is documented:

    $bkill [options] [0 | job_ID ... | "job_ID[index]"  ...]

    We do agree that it is not consistent with how bkill (and other commands) would fail with superfluous text, e.g.

    $ bjobs

    JOBID USER STAT QUEUE FROM_HOST EXEC_HOST JOB_NAME SUBMIT_TIME
    1018 billmc RUN normal ibm0 ibm1 sleep 1000 Feb 23 11:55
    $ bkill 1018 -q fred
    -q: Illegal job ID.

    $ bjobs
    JOBID USER STAT QUEUE FROM_HOST EXEC_HOST JOB_NAME SUBMIT_TIME
    1018 billmc RUN normal ibm0 ibm1 sleep 1000 Feb 23 11:55

    In this case the command line is rejected, and job 1018 is unaffected.

    We do agree that it is not consistent with how bkill (and other commands) would fail with superfluous text, e.g.

    billmc@IBM-PF3ZZ07F:/opt/lsf/conf$ bkill 0 -q fred

    Job <1018> is being terminated
