Affinity is not consistent with tasks and slot allocation

We have defined a default affinity configuration at queue level to map one slot to one core: "affinity[core(1)]". However, if user submits a job allocating more than one core per task, bsub -n 1 -R "affinity[core(4)]" for instance, the slot-based accounting and fairshare become inaccurate. In the example case, job is accounted as a single slot job while it is using and, more important, blocking 4 slots. However, LSF does not show those 4 slots as in use, in the bhosts output for instance.

This enhancement is included in LSF 10.1 Fix Pack 2. You can download it from http://www-933.ibm.com/support/fixcentral/swg/selectFixes?parent=Platform%2BComputing&product=ibm/Other+software/IBM+Spectrum+LSF&release=All&platform=All&function=fixId&fixids=lsf-10.1.0.2-spk-2017-Feb-build442293&includeSupersedes=0

The LSF 10.1 Fix Pack 2 ID is lsf-10.1.0.2-spk-2017-Feb-build442293.

This enhancement allows LSF to accurately account the number of slots consumed by jobs with affinity requirements. LSF automatically adjusts the number of slots based on the number of affinity CPUs that are allocated for the job.
