In Unix, NFS client has a limitation that a user address only first 16 secondary unix groups at a time and membership of other unix groups is ignored. With the consolidation of Unix account and user data from different plants and locations, users are having membership for more than 16 unix groups. To overcome the limitation imposed by NFS client, users change secondary group membership on the shell and keep required unix groups in first 16 list. This changed unix secondary group information should be transferred to job execution environment in LSF.
