This will be addressed as a defect (bug fix) rather than an RFE
As discussion with IBM AE, we get the behavior change is too big for the request that LSF stop job dispatch when bld die, however, it is easier for LSF set this environment variable to the job which requested license resource even if bld is down.
When bld is down, LSF will still schedule jobs base on the latest license allocation from bld. If bld down for a long time, LSF will keep these license allocation until bld start again.
It is reasonable that the environment variable LS_LICENSE_SERVER_XX is added to the running job even if bld is down. LSF reserve a free resource to the job and the job run successfully. This environment variable should be set.
So if the tool can do that way, that is fine by us.
Thanks.
